Nokia and La Blogotheque today announce that alternative rock/pop band of the moment,
Everything Everything, will headline the 2013 finale of the Nokia Lumia Live Sessions.
The critically acclaimed band will play their first London performance in five months to an intimate crowd of approx. 400 guests at a secret location in East London.
The four-piece band's second studio album, Arc was released in January 2013 and debuted at number 5 in the UK charts. Arc was hailed "another tour de force" by the Observer, with The Guardian declaring "The perfect balance between high musicianship and catchy commercial songs. The song craft and the conceptual lyrics go hand in hand … Everything Everything have continued to push the boundaries in all areas."
The Lumia Live Sessions is a tour that sees Nokia and music pioneers La Blogotheque, a team of bloggers and videographers famous for helping to kick-start the careers of scores of musicians globally, team up to showcase hot new UK music talent at a series of free gigs in unusual settings across the UK.
To date they have hosted Ghostpoet in a cemetery in Bristol, Lianne La Havas in a skate park in Liverpool, Fenech-Soler in an MMA fighting cage in Leeds, Slow Club in the Panopticon in Glasgow and The Staves on a beach in Cornwall.
Last month, the Lumia Live Sessions, saw folk trio The Staves perform on a Cornish beach along with 100 lucky competition winners.
