13-year-old British chart sensation Faryl Smith, has signed a deal with Decca US, a key label within America's largest record company, Universal.
Decca US, which launched the careers of Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti, has won the bidding war to sign the extraordinary British teenager, following her record-breaking debut album release earlier this month.
And major Hollywood PR agency, ID, has also snapped up the teenager from Kettering, Northamptonshire. Faryl joins Alicia Keys, Sean Penn and Dustin Hoffmann on the company's books, catapulting her into Hollywood.
Faryl's US plans have now been fast-tracked and she will release her album 'Faryl' on May 5th.
Of UK Reality TV stars, only Leona Lewis has prospered in the notoriously tricky US market. Faryl's American dreams are now on track to match Leona Lewis' incredible record across the Atlantic.
Head of Decca US, Paul Foley said, "The US is about to discover that Faryl really has got talent! She will take the US by storm."
Faryl will head to America at the end of April to perform media showcases in New York and LA. Her debut album will be released in the US on May 5th.
She has already made UK chart history with the fastest-selling solo classical record of all time, which went Gold within one week of release.
She will return from the US to open the Classical BRITs at the Royal Albert Hall on May 14th, becoming the youngest solo performer ever at the prestigious awards ceremony.
For Faryl this is a dream come true, "I'm thrilled to follow in the footsteps of Andrea Boccelli and Pavarotti! Who would have believed it could happen to a Kettering girl? "
