Fifth Harmony singer Dinah Jane Hansen is hoping she has been chosen to voice Disney's first Polynesian princess.
It was revealed last year that the company were planning to introduce a new character to their roster in the form of Moana Waialiki.
And Dinah was quick to jump at the chance to audition for the role of Moana in the upcoming animated movie.
"I auditioned for the role a couple months ago and I just found it as an opportunity for me to audition for the first Polynesian princess," Dinah told MTV.
"I wanted to represent for Polynesians, and that was always my goal, because not everyone knows about us and I just want to represent for them. So I was like, 'I want to try it, it's a Disney princess, why not try it'"
Backing Dinah's bid for Disney fame are her bandmates, with Camila Cabello adding: "Dinah's the real life Polynesian princess.
"We're seriously rooting for her so hard to get that role, she would be literally, absolutely incredible at it."
Dinah's revelations about the role come after Disney revealed the first images of Moana at the D23 Expo last week.
In the sketches, Moana is seen wearing a red crop top and printed skirt, standing with one hand on her hip and a look of determination on her face.
It was also revealed that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson will be voicing the character of Tui, believed to be the chief of Moana's village.
The first images of the villain of the movie were also revealed, showing a lava-form witch type character with long, terrifying claws.
