Gang Of Four announce History's Not Made By Great Men, a series of special one off events in June, commencing with Gang Of Four In Conversation with John Niven on Monday 7th June.
Jon King and Andy Gill will be talking with John Niven, the highly acclaimed author of the novel 'Kill Your Friends' (failing to return a copy of the album Entertainment! is the central character's first motive for murder in the book). Jon and Andy will also be taking questions from the audience. Very very limited numbers, drinks are provided.
Two days later on Wednesday 9th June, London's ICA will play host to the band in a one-off live performance and exhibition of art and artefacts. The band will unveil a series of large-scale prints by Jon and Andy, some based on cult album artwork, some brand new from the artwork surrounding the release of the new record. These will sit alongside career-spanning photographs by some of music's most celebrated photographers, and historical band artefacts (such as the bloodied microwave from the 2005 tour). There will also be a listening facility for fans to hear the band's first ever gig recently found on cassette. The band will then play a full set, including many of the songs from the new album which will be heard for the first time.
