The song only managed to make it to No.26 when it was first released in the UK in 1998, but after X Factor wannabe Frankie Cocozza performed a cover of the track on the UK talent show last weekend, it is now outselling the current No.1 single, No Regrets, by N-Dubz star Dappy.
The US band's single has also overtaken the previous week's chart-toppers One Direction, as well as Maroon 5, who are currently at No.3 in the UK charts.
But according to the Official Chart Update, DJ Sak Noel’s Loca People might just pip them to the top spot.
