Overview
GRACE JONES is one of the first artists announced for this year's Somerset House Summer Series.
The singer will kick-off the ten-day open-air concert series on July 9th in the courtyard of the 18th century building, which has played host to an inspirational line-up of musicians for the past eight years.
Lily Allen will take to the stage on the 11th, The Ting Tings on the 14th, Pendulum on the 15th and Athlete, who will be taking time out from their UK tour to play the event on July 17th.
Tickets for these four concerts go on sale today (23.04.09) and the second half of the line-up will be announced on April 29th.
Since the Summer Series began, Somerset House has seen performances from Snow Patrol, We Are Scientists, Goldfrapp, Bloc Party, Prodigy, Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse.
