One day after announcing the title of their new album '21st Century Breakdown' at the Grammy Awards, Green Day has unveiled the artwork for the cover.
'21st Century Breakdown' will be the eighth studio album for the band. It comes 5 years after 'American Idiot', which sold 5.8 million copies for the Bay Area band.
While the last album was a scathing attack on the incompetence of the Bush regime, the topics of this album will deal more on a personal level with struggling Americans.
It's about reflecting what's been happening the past three years and putting it to melody with some bold statements," Green Day told USA Today.
'21st Century Breakdown' will be released in May.
