The 13-year-old schoolboy, who shot to fame when he posted a video of himself singing Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi online, spoke of his excitement at being given a record deal.
“I’ve been waiting for this for a very long time – my whole life,” he told chatshow host Ellen DeGeneres, who handed him the recording contract after seeing his YouTube tape.
The youngster, who has never received any vocal training, has now released his first single, entitled Waiting Outside The Lines.
“This song has been around for a very long time, actually,” he said. “I’ve been working really hard for it, but it’s finally come. The song is really close to my heart.”
