When tweets from Gucci Mane's Twitter account popped up yesterday (July 5), many thought the Atlanta rapper, born Radric Davis, had been released from Fulton County Jail. "My Welcome Home Party unite at Club Onyx [sic]," someone tweeted from Gucci's (@gucci1017) account. Whelp, not too quick.

Gucci Mane's attorney, Ashutosh Joshi, told MTV News that due to "procedural holdups" Gucci wasn't released yesterday as scheduled. "There are some procedural holdups between the county jail and the state prison as to whether Mr. Davis has to go back to the state prison before he can be released, " Joshi told MTV News.
Fulton County Jail confirmed Gucci's custody with MTV RapFix, also mentioning an order to send Gucci to Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson, Georgia after he's released. A representative from Georgia Department of Corrections confirmed the order with MTV.
While fans await for his release, they can listen to Gucci Mane's mixtape, "Writings on the Wall 2," hosted by DJ Holiday, which dropped yesterday via Twtiter. "Writings on the Wall 2" includes features by Young Buck, Yelawolf, 50 Cent and Jagged Edge. Yes, Jagged Edge and Gucci!
