The former pop star and Neighbours actress, who is back in Australia promoting her new movie and seeing her family, says she has never felt pressure to be a size zero.
The beauty has been pictured recently showing more voluptuous curves than earlier in her career.
Asked if she felt pressure to be thin, she replied: “Never”.
She also told Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph: “I’m representing real people in stories. I’m not there representing a model, so I don’t need to be a size zero. Look down the street, no one is a size zero. I wouldn’t call myself curvy. I call myself healthy.”
Valance's new film, the Australian-set Big Mamma’s Boy, has been panned by local critics.
She is dating multi-millionaire British property developer Nick Candy, who has accompanied her to Australia.
