Holly has been working hard in preparation for Saturday's opening show with partner Artem Chigvintsev, but the 28-year-old says girls already have a disadvantage.
Valance told BBC News: 'The girls have to wear high heels, I'd love to see some of the boys wearing them and see if they don't moan the same as we do. It is a little bit more difficult because you're on the ball of your feet all the time, so that can get quite uncomfortable and quite painful'.
Holly's partner Artem won last year's competition with former Eastenders actress Kara Tointon, and the singer says he has been 'a very good teacher' during their rehearsals so far.
Footballer Robbie Savage, singer Lulu, Russell Grant and Audley Harrison join Valance in this year's dancing competition.
