Actress Deborah-Lee Furness, 56, was so determined not to end up with a fellow actor she started fantasizing about someone sensible in finance.
And even after breaking her vow and marrying Wolverine star Jackman 17 years ago, she says her fantasy remains - and Hugh helps live it out.
'I was always saying I'd marry somebody sensible, like a stockbroker. So he dresses up for that fantasy for me occasionally,' she cackled in an interview in the US.
The couple met in 1991 on the set of the Aussie TV show Correlli where Furness played a prison psychologist and Jackman was in the role of an inmate she counselled.
It wasn't love at first sight, she says, but there was 'an instant rapport, a recognition'.
However, her New Year's resolution that year included no more dating actors — and no more men under 30. 'Famous last words!' she laughs of ending up with Jackman, an actor who was only 26 at the time.
