Queens Of The Stone Age have been working on their first album in five years and Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters has revealed he has been in the studio with the band.
Sheers tweeted "Jake Shears + Queens of the Stone Age – satanic cabaret" this week and added a picture of himself with Josh Homme and Troy Van Leeuwen.
The still untitled Queens of the Stone Age album will also feature Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor and former member Nick Oliveri.
The 6th Queens of the Stone Age album will be the first album for the band since 2007's 'Era Vulgaris'.
The release date is yet-to-be determined. Expect it mid-year.
Meanwhile, don't expect any new music from Scissor Sisters next year. In October they announced their hiatus.
Grohl's Foo Fighters will also been inactive in 2013. Grohl will debut his movie Sound City at Sundance next month. The soundtrack features the Paul McCartney and Nirvana song 'Cut Me Some Slack'.
He will also be the keynote speaker at SXSW in March.
