Earlier this week James performed a stripped down set of tracks from his album plus a selection of covers at St. John on Bethnal Green church in aid of Crisis, the homeless charity.
James performed his upcoming single 'Recovery' and his X Factor single 'Impossible' alongside his rendition of Miley Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball' and a Christmas classic - Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.
James commented "I put this gig on tonight to do my bit for the charity and hopefully help some people that haven't got anywhere to sleep over Christmas, people who maybe don't have a Mum or Dad this Christmas and they're on the street. It's heartbreaking and I wish it wasn't real but it is. And the only way to stop it is charities like Crisis."
"I support Crisis because it's a charity that's really close to my heart."
James' new single 'Recovery' is out next week, and the music video for the single is coming soon.
