Jamie Foxx was left relieved after a stalker who tried to force his way into his hotel room was arrested.
Steven Taliver, 49, was taken into police custody yesterday (02.04.09) when the actor's security team recognised him as he loitered near the set of his new movie 'Law Abiding Citizen' and notified law enforcement officers.
Taliver first tried to get into Foxx's suite in Philadelphia AKA Hotel by posing as one of Beyonce Knowles' producers on March 22.
When the 'Ray' star realised he didn't know Taliver he confronted him, and following a brief struggle slammed his hotel room door in Taliver's face and called police.
Reports suggest Taliver tried to get into Foxx's room on three separate occasions - March 22, 27 and 31.
Philadelphia police have identified the alleged intruder as Taliver who gave a homeless shelter as his address when taken into custody.
He has been charged with stalking, burglary, making criminal threats, false imprisonment and harassment.
A police spokesperson said: "There was an arrest. There was an incident. Someone was in an area they weren't supposed to be - inside the hotel."
Speaking after the arrest, Foxx, 41, said: "I'm good now. Shout out to Philadelphia and the mayor and everybody else to make sure it's good.
"Sometimes you have to make sure every move you make in life is the right thing, and that you have people there to watch your back."
