When Jamie Foxx throws a party, you can be sure he's going to have a star-studded guest list. And what better way to celebrate the holidays than with a new studio album from the Grammy- and Academy Award-winning double threat, on which he brings his A-list pals along for the ride?
Slipping in just under the 2010 wire on December 21 will be Foxx's third studio album for J Records, Best Night of My Life, led by the first single "Fall for Your Type" featuring Drake. According to his label, the follow-up to Foxx's multiplatinum 2008 album Intuition, which spawned the club staple "Blame It," will feature his same patented mix of R&B ballads and club tracks.
Among the songs on the 15-track album are "Best Night of My Life" (featuring Wiz Khalifa), "Living Better Now" (featuring Rick Ross), "Freak" (featuring Rico Love), "Hit It Like This," "Yep Dat's Me" (featuring Ludacris and Soulja Boy Tell'em), "Gorgeous," "15 Minutes," "Sleeping Pill," "Rejoice," "All Said and Done" and the hidden bonus track "Sex on the Beach."
Foxx recently promised "Extra" that "there's a song on there for every woman," making sure his favorite constituency knows he hasn't forgotten about them.
The album will also feature "Winner," which MTV reported in March will celebrate a reunion of T.I. and Justin Timberlake, who were last heard together on Tip's "Dead and Gone."
The track was leaked last year with just JT and Foxx's voices on it, but just as he was prepping for release from prison earlier this year, the new version with T.I.'s verse hit New York radio. "I'm the fresher, go ask whoever that," Tip raps on the song. "King back, money long as an old Cadillac." It's unlikely the trio will be able to perform the song live anytime soon, though, as the King of the South is back behind bars for 11 months for a probation violation.
Among the producers who worked on Foxx's new album are Eric Hudson (Trey Songz, Brandy), Bink! (Kanye West, Rick Ross), Danja (Snoop Dogg, Pink), Rico Love (Beyoncé, Usher), Noah "40" Shebib (Drake, Lil Wayne) and Malay & KP (Fantasia).
