RizLab is a project created to allow credible, pioneering artists to freely experiment and embrace their personal passions. Launched to create interesting and innovative music experiences, RizLab embodies the new and the unexpected. Whether live or in the studio, visual or aural, solo or collaborative, the RizLab projects will offer unique, spectacular, one-off experiences.
At the head of RizLab is a duo of creative curators; two people that have spent their careers forging new musical experiences, both recorded and live.
Moshi Moshi founder Stephen Bass is a renowned talent spotter, having released early work from the likes of Lykke Li, Florence + The Machine, Hot Chip and The Drums. Tom Baker is the man behind Eat Your Own Ears, one of the UK's most bold and forward-thinking promoters. Both will curate RizLab for Rizla.
The first two projects will see Jamie xx and Friendly Fires each create a unique performance. Full details will be released in the coming weeks, but we can reveal that plans include visual collaborations and exploring the past and future of a defining music genre.
Go to www.rizlab.co.uk for detail, tickets and updates as RizLab's projects come to life.
The first fifty pairs of tickets for the Jamie xx event will be guaranteed to the first fifty applicants, after which, tickets will be allocated by free prize draw.
