The 60-year-old Hollywood star has had a long and successful career in film, and his latest project is playing Kevin Flynn/Clu 2.0 in TRON: Legacy.
In the science-fiction movie about a virtual-world worker who plans to take down the Master Control Program, there are scenes showing Jeff’s character as a youngster as well as his old-man character. Jeff was completely happy to appear haggard on screen as he’s comfortable with old age and his appearance.
“As you get older there’s maybe something like reverse vanity, where you just let your age go and not be concerned about it,” he told Total Film magazine.
“I wasn’t worried about how ‘old’ me looked.”
Jeff didn’t mind that actor John Reardon’s body was used for some of the young scenes either, as he has no qualms about the fact he’s older. Jeff was keen to make sure John captured his style of moving though.
“I was more concerned about the young me, whether John Reardon [the young actor playing Clu’s body onto which Bridges’ features are added] had the movement right,” he added.
