The 39-year-old Butter actress - who is expecting her third child with Ben Affleck - couldn't resist bringing calorific treats into her otherwise healthful home.
She told InStyle magazine: 'My kids had never seen Doritos before.
'They would say: 'Mum, where did you get that orange chip? I really want that'.'
She also couldn't say no to the carb-heavy meals she prepares for Violet, six, and three year-old Seraphina.
Garner added: 'I'm trying really hard to be mindful but when I'm making the kids mac and cheese, I want it badly.'
'I wish I was one of those cute pregnant girls who wear skinny jeans throughout their pregnancies but I just gain weight.'
