The singer-and-actress is set to marry her fiancé David Otunga later this year and has been throwing herself into the preparations. Jennifer – who has a 17-month-old son, David, with her fiancé - has worked with a team of designers to create her dream gown for her big day. She is so impressed with the dress, she believes it needs to have its own special music and lighting.
“Everything is already set. We already have our wedding bands and everything made,” she told the American edition of OK! magazine. “I designed the dress myself. I did. It has its own show. It is a show, so it has to have its own moment with special lighting and everything, and theme music. Oh, I am so serious. It’s white. That’s the colour, in keeping with tradition. Baby came first, but hey.”
Jennifer also revealed she wants her son to play a big role in the wedding. The Oscar winner has already picked out special matching outfits for the most important men in her life and she can’t wait to see them all dressed up.
“He will look just like his father in his tux,” she said about her son David. “So cute. I’ll have both my Davids. Maybe he’ll walk Mommy down the aisle. That would be so cute!”
Jennifer admits there are some details to finalise and she is still trying to decide on the guest list. The 29-year-old star originally wanted a “huge, grand” wedding but know she is considering a more intimate affair.
David proposed to Jennifer on her 27th birthday in 2008 and the pair are more in love than ever.
Jennifer loves spending time with her fiancé and they always have unexpected adventures when they are together.
“We’re two big, giant kids, and we have the best time,” she explained. “We call it our Punk and Punky adventures. I think we complement each other well. He’s a genius, he’s super smart, and I think he’s the perfect man for me.”
