The tribute was added to the awards, which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angele, following Houston's passing on Saturday (February 11).

Discussing the late addition of the tribute to the show, Grammy Awards executive producer Ken Ehrlich said: "It's too fresh in everyone's memory to do more at this time, but we would be remiss if we didn't recognise Whitney's remarkable contribution to music fans in general, and in particular her close ties with the Grammy telecast and her Grammy wins and nominations over the years."

Adele and the Foo Fighters dominated this year's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last night (February 12).
The London singer, who performed 'Rolling in the Deep' at the awards, picked up six gongs in total, winning every award which she had been nominated for.
Adele joined Beyonce in the record for most Grammy Awards won by a female artist in one night, which was set by Beyoncé in 2010.
The Foo Fighters also took home five awards, including the 'Best Rock Performance', 'Best Rock Song' and 'Best Rock Album'.
