The 29-year-old actress lost almost 80lbs since becoming a Weight Watchers ambassador in 2010 and now wants to share her success story.
However, publishers have apparently been backwards and forwards because she is asking for a $1m (£607,201) writing fee. For that kind of cash, they want her to open up about the shooting of her mother Darnell Donnerson, young nephew Julian King, and brother Jason - for which her brother-in-law William Balfour was charged with murder.
A source told the New York Post's Page Six, 'Her book about her diet is really appealing and wonderful. But if you spend a lot of money on the book deal, you want it to sell. With no talk of her family, we didn't think it was worth it.'
Hudson's publicist told the newspaper that the comments were 'accurate'.
