Jermaine Jackson: Dr Conrad Murray's Sentence Was Not Justice

Jermaine Jackson has spoken out about the four-year sentence given to Dr Conrad Murray after being found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson yesterday (November 29).

Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter by an LA jury earlier this month (November 7) and yesterday was give the maximum four-year sentence. 

Speaking to The Sun about the sentence, Jermaine said: True justice shouldn't feel as empty and pointless as this.

"Justice" is not having some clown of a doctor act so criminally negligent with Michael's life that he ends up killing him . . . then receives such a pitiful sentence.

He added: ''Let me tell you what justice should have — and could have — looked like: Dr Conrad Murray charged with, and convicted of, second-degree murder and sent down for decades. A life incarcerated for the life lost because of his reckless choices, inept skills and breathtaking disregard of the human life in his solo care.''

Murray will not spend an entire day of his four year sentence in prison because of California law, reports TMZ.

Conrad's sentence will take place in a LA county jail where it is believed he will actually only serve half of the four years.

Explaining the sentence Judge Pastor said, "There are those who feel Dr. Murray is a saint.  There are those who feel he's the devil.  He is neither.  He's a human being."
