Jersey Budd challenges Liam Gallagher to a fight

Absolute Radio DJ Sarah Champion hung out with man of the moment, Jersey Budd at the station's first birthday at Regent's Street festival. They spoke about Noel Gallagher touring with Kasabian, fighting Liam Gallagher and Lily Allen throwing the towel in.

Singer/ songwriter Jersey Budd, who critics predict will be the next big thing, is already mates with rock 'n' roll royalty. The 24 year old went to school with Kasabian's Tom and Serge and counts Noel Gallagher among his friends. Talking about the much publicised Oasis split, Jersey said, "I think its great news that Noel Gallagher is going solo and touring with Kasabian. Noel is sick and tired of talking about the split. He just wants to get out there and play music."

When Absolute Radio DJ Sarah Champion asked which Gallagher brother would be more successful, without a moments thought Jersey shouted "Noel!"

With a cheeky grin, he added, "Sorry Liam, I guess you are just going to have to fight me!" Perhaps not a wise move given Liam's notorious fiery temper.

When we told Mr Budd about Lily Allen quitting music, the singer seemed unperturbed saying, "If Lily Allen wants to quit music, great! Leaves more space for me!"
