The Ace Ventura star proudly showed off some of his work when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Carrey revealed he spends hundreds of hours on the artworks, which have included one that has to be seen under UV lights and a massive 16ft by 12ft canvas.
'I love it so much I am in heaven, it is physically tasking and an intense process. Every character I do in the paintings I put a different kind of music on and rave out,' Carrey told Leno.
'If I'm not worried about critics after Ace Ventura then… I worry when they are on my side.'
