Jim Parsons gave Rihanna the "chills" by singing her songs.
The American funnyman and superstar singer both lend their voices to animated film Home, which follows an alien called Oh as he forms an unlikely friendship with an adventurous young girl named Tip.
Although they didn't spend much time together while recording, the pair have united with co-star Steve Martin to promote the flick around the globe. Jim has taken the chance to share his admiration for Rihanna.
"I've been doing France with Steve Martin and Rihanna and I, being around her, I... her songs keep coming on in my head. And I'll keep, like, singing, 'Yellow diamonds' - just out of nowhere, I'll be doing it," he told talk show host Jimmy Fallon. "And first off, her reaction is always, she'll look at me and go, 'That gives me chills. And not in a good way. Please stop.' But the second thing I thought was, what if she was doing 'Bazinga' [his catchphrase from The Big Bang Theory] the whole time we were doing press? I might go, 'Would you shut up?' I thought it was a compliment, you know?"
Jim, Rihanna and Steve recently gave a joint interview to USA Today, in which they shared what drew them to the project. Both Jim and Steve spoke about being attracted to films which don't have "ugly" or "sour" messages, while the musician was happy to cater to her younger followers.
"I was excited by the fact that it was a project that my younger fans could enjoy. I don't usually... you know, I'm a 27-year-old but I wanna enjoy... I love cartoons and I want my fans to be able to have something," she smiled.
She also recalled films from her childhood, naming Jaws as the most memorable before revealing her dad Ronald made her watch lots of horror films such as the Chucky movies.
