What about that new kid Jimi Hendrix, hey. What a star. He is doing very well on the chart this week.
No, it is not 1967. It is 2010 but for a lot of kids today, Jimi Hendrix is the new kid on the block.
Janie Hendrix, Jimi's sister and CEO of Experience Hendrix tells Undercover she attributes Jimi's newfound fame to the gaming world. Guitar Hero and Rock Band are bringing Jimi's music to a whole new market.
"His biggest age group is under 37," she said. "They weren't even alive when he died."
On the US chart next week expect to see Jimi Hendrix 'Valleys of Neptune' debut in the Top 10. Not bad for a guy who died 40 years ago this year.
Valleys of Neptune could sell around 100,000 units across this week in the USA making Jimi one of the hottest acts on the planet.
