Jimmy Barnes has been forced to cancel some solo shows after doctors have ordered four weeks rest and recouperation.
The visit to the doctor came after he was 'taken ill around lunchtime today' (26 July). According to a statement there were concerns that his illness might relate to his heart, but fortunately the concerns were unfounded.
' hate to cancel shows and over the years I've very rarely done it,' Jimmy said in a statement. 'Sorry to anyone who's been let down by this but I'll be back on deck in a few weeks time.'
When he says he'll be 'back on deck,' he means it. He'll be ready to begin rehearsals with Cold Chisel in September for their massive Australian tour that will take them all over the country in October and November.
It's unclear exactly what shows are cancelled and what will be postponed, but if you have a Barnesy ticket for a show in the next four weeks, sorry, but it ain't happening.
Stay tuned for more details.
