Rumours have been circulating that Joan Jett will join Nirvana for a performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
On Thursday (10 April) the band will finally be inducted during the annual ceremony, which will also witness the surviving members of the band put on a performance. Kris Novoselic, Dave Grohl and Pat Smear will all form the nostalgic line-up, but it has long been questioned who will be singing.
Paul McCartney and Michael Stipe have been favourites in the running previously but Joan Jett is now a likely contendor after a photo emerged of Joan's Melody maker Guitar next to Novoselic's bass. The picture was posted on the Foo Fighters' Instagram, with speculation mounting that she could be a leftfield choice that could potentially appease the band's fans.
Meanwhile last Saturday (5 April) marked the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death. Numerous tributes flooded in from the world in music including Muse and St. Vincent who both performed very different versions of 'Lithium' at very different gigs.
