The Jonas Brothers cried and "yelled" while discussing splitting up.
This week the pop trio announced they have decided to pursue solo ventures, with Nick Jonas confessing he was the one who initiated the break-up. He has now revealed emotions span out of control when he broke the news to his brothers Joe and Kevin.
"There were tears and yelling from everybody," the 21-year-old musician told People. "I went into a bit of a trance."
Kevin and Nick talked late into the night on October 3, with Joe staying silent at first.
Joe, 24, felt totally unprepared for Nick's bombshell confession.
"Kevin and I thought we were going into a meeting about releasing some of the music we'd been working on," he said.
Although it was painful, the siblings were able to be more honest with each other than ever before.
"It was the most real, the most intense conversation that we've had in our lives together," Kevin explained.
Kevin, who is currently expecting his first child with his wife Danielle, also voiced some truths when Nick came clean about feeling unhappy in the band. The 25-year-old accepted he hadn't always been fully committed to the group.
"We're choosing our family because it was becoming toxic," he said, before admitting he is more interested in the business side of the industry. "I wasn't contributing to the music the way I should have."
Speculation about the band's future surfaced earlier this month when the trio cancelled their tour just two days before they were due to hit the road.
