The Tudors star, 33, was recently found slumped at his West London home after a reported suicide attempt, but this has now been dismissed as a 'relapse' in his battle with drink.
According to UK newspaper Daily Mirror, a source said: 'Jonathan is a lovely, friendly man but clearly has work to do to control his issues. I understand he's been advised to seek further help.'
He was taken to hospital after he was found at his home but he was later released by doctors and friends believe he will head to a rehabilitation clinic.
