Joss Stone has split from Danny Radford

Joss Stone has split up with Danny Radford.

The childhood sweethearts had been together for two years but reportedly 'drifted apart' leading to the amicable break-up.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: 'It's sad because Joss and Danny made a great couple. They have known each other for years and were mates long before they started dating.

'But in the past few months they have drifted apart. There are no hard feelings and they are determined to remain friends.'

They first started dating in 2008, although their relationship briefly ended in 2009 before rekindling their romance two years ago.

It's said Danny helped the 25-year-old singer through her kidnap plot and he was with her on the day two men allegedly tried to break into her Devon home to abduct and murder her, although both denied the charges at Exeter Crown Court in a court case expected to continue for another two weeks.

After the incident, Joss had said she was 'fine' but 'baffled', and suggested it was a downside of fame.

She said: 'I'm fine, if slightly baffled by it. I can't stress about what didn't happen, that would seem silly.

'Every job has positives and negatives and I guess this was one of the negatives that comes with mine. I don't expect life to be perfect. I just try to make it as fun as possible.'
