Joss Stone: 'Mick Jagger didn't ask me out'

Mick Jagger isn't the "hazardous rocker" he's made out to be, explains Joss Stone.

Joss worked with the Rolling Stones legend on short-lived group SuperHeavy in 2011, which also included A. R. Rahman, Damian Marley and Eurythmics' star David A. Stewart.

A rumour went around that 72-year-old Mick had asked Joss out, but the 29-year-old admits the truth is much less exciting.

"No. He said, 'Hey, what are you doing later?' but he said it to everyone in the studio, not just me," she told Britain's Hello! magazine. "Everyone makes him to be this hazardous rocker, but he's not like that. He loves a cup of tea and a good old chat."

As well as rock and roll royalty, Joss is friendly with actual British royalty, counting Prince Harry as a friend. She's always on hand when he needs her, often for performances, and is even an ambassador for the flame haired prince's charity Sentebale.

"(He's) good, I think I don't see him very often - usually it's when he needs me to help him out with his charitable efforts," she shared. "They're always doing something positive, those boys. He and (brother Prince) Will are both lovely human beings."

Despite their friendship, Joss won't be trying to find Harry a wife any time soon.

"As if. Who'd be good for him?" she mused. "I'm not sure. I think he'll find a wife all by himself though."

Joss is close to Prince William too and even bagged an invite to his 2011 wedding to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. She's yet to meet the future queen though, but that's not through lack of trying.

"I went to her and Will's wedding, but never met her," she added. "And I've seen Will several times since then, but never Kate. It's odd. She seems lovely though. Those two are totally what our monarchy needs."
