Anton Corbijn was celebrating last night after his film on the life of Ian Curtis, Control, won five awards at the British Independent Film Awards.
The accolades included Best British Independent Film, Best Director (Corbijn), Best Debut Director, Most Promising Newcomer for Sam Riley (who portrayed Curtis), and Best Performance By A Supporting Actor Or Actress In A British Independent Film, which went to Toby Kebbell (who played Joy Division's manager, Rob Gretten).
The ceremony, held in London's Roundhouse, was hosted by James Nesbitt, and the winners were chosen by a members of the film industry, including actors and filmmakers.
