Kanye West always smiling since child birth

Kanye West "has had a smile from ear to ear" since his daughter was born.

The rapper welcomed his first child with Kim Kardashian last Saturday.

Kanye reportedly feeling ecstatic about becoming a father to the tot named North West and isn't hiding it.

"Ever since she was born, Kanye has had a smile from ear to ear," a source told British newspaper the Daily Mirror. "He is still walking on air. Kim's room looked like a florists there were so many bouquets."

The rapper and his reality star girlfriend had a number of options concerning their baby's moniker.

However they stayed on the theme of compass points when it came to making their final decision because they liked the ring of it.

"Kanye and Kim had many names in mind but both loved the name North," the insider added.

Apparently the bundle of joy does not have a middle name and will be nicknamed Nori.

Kim, 32, and Kanye, 36, allegedly signed the birth certificate, detailing the name amongst other vital information, at Cedars-Sinai hospital in West Hollywood, California.

It comes after Kim joked about possibly naming their offspring North three months ago on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

"I do like Easton, Easton West," she said while laughing off speculation.

Kanye has apparently been very protective of his little girl, even before she was born.

Reports suggest he is against having her appear on any of the Kardashian family's reality shows.

Kardashian mother and manager Kris Jenner was allowed to film some of the birth under Kanye's direction.

"The camera crew did attempt to accompany Kim into the hospital," the source added. "When Kanye arrived, he told them to get lost, which they did. Kanye didn't want this precious moment to be documented for TV. Kim's momager, Kris, who was in the delivery room, filmed portions of it for family viewing only. Kanye told Kris when she could film."
