Kanye West attacks paparazzo

Kanye West allegedly "went ballistic" on a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport.

The 36-year-old rapper was abroad for about a week and returned to American soil on Friday.

When exiting his LAX terminal, TMZ reports Kanye lashed out at a paparazzo who incessantly asked the star questions.

The lensman told Kanye he was a big fan of the star's, but the rapper made it clear he was in no mood to speak.

The photographer kept on talking and Kanye snapped.

He apparently threw several punches which eventually took the man down to the floor.

Kanye is said to have left with his entourage shortly after the event, evading authorities before they arrived.

Paramedics and police are now on the scene and it is said that the photographer is receiving treatment. The extent of the man's injuries are unknown at this time.

Kanye has a history of clashing with photographers and exploded on a paparazzo as recently as last week.
During the incident he expressly forbid paparazzi from ever speaking to him.

"I appreciate it, but don't talk. Don't talk to me," he responded angrily to a cameraman's questions at the time. "I don't want to hear paparazzi talk to me or anyone I know. And tell everybody never talk, to anyone, that anyone knows - don't talk to themselves. Don't talk ever again.

Kanye welcomed his first child with reality star Kim Kardashian, daughter North West, on June 15.
