Kanye West’s short film Runaway has been given its world premiere.
The 35-minute movie was shown for the first time on MTV networks in the US, and is also available at kanyewest.com.
Directed by Hype Williams, the movie tells the story of West's new relationship with a girl, who is a phoenix who has fallen to earth.
It features a number of songs from the rapper’s forthcoming new album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’, which is released next month.
West said recently that Runaway should be viewed as a “modern version” of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' and 'Purple Rain' by Prince.
And in a post on Twitter yesterday (October 23), he said he wanted to take the movie to Broadway, adding: "I can see it. I can feel it."
Meanwhile, on Friday the rapper released the latest song in his G.O.O.D Friday series.
