Kanye West claims the MTV awards are fixed.
The US rapper thinks he only won the Ultimate Urban award at the MTV Europe Music Awards because he attended the show in Liverpool, England, last week.
The 'Love Lockdown' singer also blasted winners at the show's US counterpart, the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), at the launch of his new album '808s and Heartbreak'.
Speaking about this year's MTV award winners, Kanye, 31, said: "Britney Spears over Rihanna? Are you serious? I mean f***ing Jared Leto? He's my boy but he shouldn't have won over some of those other artists.
"I won nothing last year and I'd brought out 'Stronger'. Then this year, just because I was there, I won best urban act. This was Lil' Wayne's year."
Britney scooped three prizes at this year's VMAs in September, which was hailed as her true comeback after her disastrous year.
Jared Leto's band 30 Seconds to Mars picked up the 'Rock Out' and 'Video Star' awards at the European Music Awards, which he co-hosted.
The 'Ultimate Urban' award which Kanye won was voted for by MTV viewers, but while the public get to vote on the shortlists for who will receive awards, most are picked by MTVs appointed list of industry experts.
Kanye's '808s and Heartbreak' album is released on November 24.
