The Almost Famous actress – who is expecting her first child with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy – said she is in her 65-year-old mother’s shadow when it comes to looks.
Hudson, 31, told the Daily Express: 'She is just beautiful. She is out of control! OK, I am pregnant but how is my own mother thinner than me? She looks better than I do, how is that possible?'
But she added that she finds reassurance in her mum’s good health.
'Everyone always talks about their parents and what will happen but I swear my mum is going to outlive all of us,' she said.
