Kate Hudson's guest appearance on Glee will see her singing – and will be "dance-heavy".
It was confirmed yesterday that Kate and fellow Hollywood star Sarah Jessica Parker will feature in the next season of the hit TV show.
Despite the big announcement by Fox, details remained scarce.
However, Entertainment Weekly has now obtained some new information about the exciting guest roles.
Kate - who will feature in six episodes - will reportedly be playing a "mentor-type role to Rachel Berry", portrayed by Lea Michele.
The blonde star's role will "have her singing but will also be very dance-heavy".
Meanwhile, Glee star Chris Colfer told Live! With Kelly that Sarah will be seen advising his character Kurt Hummel in the fourth season.
The website also reports that Glee is planning another Britney Spears tribute for the fall.
The homage to the superstar will apparently feature in the second episode and will include a medley of eight of her hits.
Britney is not scheduled to appear in the special episode, but producers are hoping to work out a deal with the newly-confirmed judge on the US version of The X Factor.
The original Britney episode - which was broadcast in Glee's second season - is one of the show's highest-rated episodes to date.
