Kate Nash talks of new album

Kate Nash has revealed how her forthcoming second album was influenced by her dislike of seagulls and groupies.

The London singer/songwriter has completed the album with producer (and former Suede guitarist) Bernard Butler, with its release set to be within the next few months.

Nash told NME.COM that one song, 'I Hate Seaguls', was inspired by her current relationship - which she sees in contrast to her pet hates.

"I had never been in a serious relationship before – it changes a lot of things," explained the musician – who is dating The Cribs' Ryan Jarman. "It's like [on the song], 'I hate seagulls, I hate groupies and I hate being sick'. Sometimes there are things where you're like, 'Fucking hell, I hate all this bullshit.' Then there's someone who you love… that's the reason you're alright."

Other songs set for the album have the working titles 'Doo Wa Do', 'Paris', 'Kiss That Girl' and 'Don't You Wanna Share The Guilt'.
