Kate Nash has told Xfm.co.uk exactly why she had an extended break after releasing her debut album in 2007.
The singer, who is back with a new album 'My Best Friend Is You' on April 19, explained to John Kennedy that the endless touring made her question her choice of career.
"Loads of stuff happened and it was quite extreme," she says. "I was really exhausted and frankly quite tired of it. I was sick of doing gigs. I was like, I don't like playing these songs, I don't want to do anything, I want to go home and unpack my suitcase and get back to normal life. I wanted to pass my driving test and get back to normal life!"
She's also announced plans for an instore at HMV on Oxford Street, London, next week.
Kate will be performing and meeting fans there from 5pm on Monday April 19 to mark the release of 'My Best Friend is You'.
