The movie actress and director announced they had split earlier this year, after enjoying nearly seven years of marriage and raising two children together; ten-year-old daughter Mia and seven-year-old son Joe.
The pair have remained on good terms though, and are putting the welfare of the children before all else. Sam is scheduled to direct the next film in the James Bond spy movie franchise at the end of 2011 in England, and Kate is willing to move with the children from America to the UK so they can be together.
“Sam is doing the next Bond film, all being well, and we’ll all be in England if that happens. It’s such a massive commitment for him and it’s not fair for him to commute backwards and forwards to New York from London,” she told British newspaper The Daily Mail.
“It would be impossible. The children will be there with me.”
Kate also revealed she has no ambitions to appear in the upcoming James Bond film, which famously features beautiful women as Bond girls. That doesn’t mean the actress wouldn’t like to collaborate with Sam in the future though, as she admires him greatly as a moviemaker and has successfully worked with him in the past - he directed her in Revolutionary Road.
“I can see us working together again — that’s the way it is,” added Kate.
