The American Idol winner recently wrote on her Facebook page that she was stopped from buying some iPod shuffles at the Best Buy store in Ridgemar Mall in Fort Worth.
According to TMZ, someone at the store refused to sell her a number of iPod shuffles citing the store's policy, which puts a limit on how many iPods one customer can buy.
However sources at Best Buy tell TMZ that the company is upset about the incident as it is not a store policy.
A rep for the company left a message on the star's Facebook.
It said: 'We spoke to the management [at Ridgemar] and they'd like to apologise for this experience... their intention was not to upset you.'
The company then allowed the star to buy her iPods and it also donated some to her charity.
