Kelly Clarkson says Carrie Underwood would make a good American Idol judge.
Both Kelly and Carrie shot to fame after winning the talent show. Kelly insists she has no interest in joining the judging panel next season following the departure of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
However, the singer believes Carrie would be a great addition to the line-up.
"She would! Didn't she major in journalism or something?" Kelly told Us Weekly when asked if Carrie could make it as an American Idol judge. "And she can have that face... that bluff face! She can put that on! She would be good."
Kelly is committed to her mentor role on rival TV talent show Duets. The 30-year-old enjoys interacting with wannabe singers.
"I don't want to be a judge. Mentor is more my style," the star explained. "And not just mentoring, getting to be a part of the song with them, getting them amped up - from our rehearsals to stage, it's so exciting being onstage. It's fun!"
