Kelly Clarkson thinks people like her because she is overweight.
The 'My Life Would Suck Without You' singer - who shot to fame after winning the first series of TV talent contest 'American Idol' - has never felt under pressure to be thin because fans have always supported her, regardless of her weight.
She said: "I feel very fortunate coming from 'American Idol'. I was the biggest girl in the group.
"I've always been thicker and millions of people voted for me. People are born all different shapes and sizes. People like me this way."
Kelly, 26, is also grateful to 'American Idol' because she wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to be a pop star if he hadn't been for the series, which is judged by Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.
She joked on US TV show 'Entertainment Tonight': "If I wasn't a singer, I'd be broke, because I have no other talent."
Kelly - who earlier this week revealed she is too busy to find love - also blasted rumours she is a lesbian and admits she has no idea where the speculation comes from.
She said: "I went to Europe and it was in the press everywhere and I was like, 'I don't get it, was I sleep walking and kissed a girl and there's a picture or something?'
"Just because I'm single and don't date a lot, that doesn't make me a lesbian."
