Kelly Clarkson is apparently "relishing" motherhood.
The 32-year-old star and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed their first child, a daughter called River Rose, on June 12.
Rather than hit the gym straight away like many other celebrities, the proud parent is happy to just enjoy time with her new arrival.
"Don't get me wrong, she's determined to lose the baby weight and certainly doesn't want to stay at the weight she's at, but she's in no rush," a source told Radar Online.
"Right now she's just relishing in her daughter and everything that motherhood has to offer."
Kelly announced the arrival of her little girl on Twitter two days after she was born.
"Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :) (sic)," she posted.
The source added that her many fans will be paying no attention to the singer's weight, but that she is keen to make sure she's a fit and healthy mom.
"Of course Kelly wants to be healthy and she has gym equipment in her Nashville home that she'll utilise, but all that matters to her is her husband and baby," the insider continued.
The American Idol winner has always been open about her weight struggles. Shortly after announcing her pregnancy last year, she said she wasn't worried about gaining a few pounds.
"Everybody calls me fat all the time, so I can't wait to have a reason, instead of everybody just being a jerk!" she joked to Parade magazine.
"I've never been Gisele Bündchen, so ain't nobody expectin' that! I like to set a [low] standard so people don't expect a lot."
