Kelly Clarkson Performs National Anthem at Super Bowl - Video

Kelly Clarkson performed the national anthem ahead of this year’s Super Bowl match between The New York Giants and New England Patriots.

The singer was joined on stage by the Indianapolis Children’s Choir and a set of drummers for her rendition of the American national anthem ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’.

Also providing pre-game entertainment was The Voice judge Blake Shelton who was joined by his wife Miranda Lambert for a performance of ‘American The Beautiful’.

The pressure was on for Kelly Clarkson, the winner of the first ever American Idol, to give a flawless performance after Christina Aguilera famously fluffed up the lines while singing the national anthem last year. Singing the second line of the song again when it came to the fourth line, she also got the words wrong.

However Kelly Clarkson gave a perfect performance ahead of the New York Giants versus New England Patriots match.

Clarkson is to perform at this years Grammy’s next Sunday alongside Rihanna, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and Nicki Minaj.
