Kelly Clarkson is overwhelmed with wedding planning.
The 31-year-old pop star is engaged to marry her music manager beau Brandon Blackstock.
While she is excited to become a wife, she admits that wedding planning hasn't been easy for her.
"I'm so over it. It's so overwhelming," she admitted on radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
"We're just doing a lot: touring and the wedding and the Christmas album, so I'm over the wedding part."
Kelly says she takes comfort from her easy relationship with Brandon while she deals with the wedding stress, although she acknowledges it does take some effort.
"It's not a try-hard situation," she explained.
"It's just easy. It's work – after a year and a half that puppy phase [is over] and reality starts to set in – but it's fun work. We're very similar. It's easy."
Kelly also enjoys mothering Brandon's children from his previous relationship and embraces the challenges she faces as a stepmother.
"I have a 12-year-old and a six-year-old now ... after being single for six years. We all live together and everything. It's so different, but it's perfect," Kelly detailed.
"They're awesome, and I actually really dig the mom thing."
The singer does confess she is a bit strict with the children at times.
In fact she is convinced that she is turning into her own mother.
"I'm quick to go, 'I told you not to touch that!'" she laughed. "We all work really well together, but I'm totally my mom. My mom was a hard mom. I'm probably that mom."
Kelly's Christmas album entitled Wrapped in Red will be released at the end of October.
The songstress will marry Brandon at their Nashville, Tennessee home on October 20.
